• Composition: Inconel 601 typically consists of approximately 58% nickel, 23% chromium, and 15% iron, with small amounts of manganese, silicon, and other elements.
• Oxidation Resistance: Exceptional resistance to oxidation and carburization at elevated temperatures, making it ideal for high-temperature applications.
• Mechanical Properties: Maintains good strength and toughness at high temperatures, typically up to around 2200°F (1200°C).
• Weldability: Good weldability with standard techniques; however, pre-heat and post-weld treatments may be recommended for thicker sections.
